Senior Engineer – Infrastructure & Development

An established consultancy specialising in infrastructure design and transport planning is seeking a Senior Engineer to support the delivery of complex development schemes across the UK. The practice works with both public and private sector clients, bringing together key stakeholders to provide practical, effective solutions to challenging projects.

The Role

This role provides the opportunity to take ownership of projects, apply technical expertise, and contribute to high-quality engineering outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the design and delivery of development-focused engineering projects
• Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
• Using AutoCAD, MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage and other industry-standard software to design and analyse infrastructure solutions
• Managing projects efficiently to meet agreed deadlines and client expectations
• Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop practical and innovative proposals
• Communicating complex technical information clearly to clients, planning authorities and other consultees

Candidate Requirements

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong technical engineering and project management capability
• Demonstrable experience in Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy development
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
