Graduate Civil Engineer

Location: Kingston upon Thames
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 + benefits

A well-established civil and structural engineering consultancy in Southwest London is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join its expanding team based in Kingston upon Thames.

The consultancy delivers a diverse portfolio of projects across the residential, commercial, education, and mixed-use sectors. The Role

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain practical, real-world experience. You will work alongside experienced engineers on live projects from initial concept through to completion, developing both your technical capability and professional confidence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the design and analysis of civil engineering schemes, including drainage, highways, and infrastructure
• Preparing technical drawings, calculations, and written reports
• Supporting senior engineers in project coordination and delivery
• Attending site inspections and design meetings as required
• Collaborating within a close-knit and supportive engineering team

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline
• Strong academic background with a genuine interest in civil design
• Understanding of UK design standards and engineering fundamentals
• Experience with, or willingness to learn, software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage (or similar)
• Good communication skills with a proactive and enthusiastic approach
