Aztrum is pleased to be working with an established and growing acoustic consultancy in their search for an Acoustic Consultant to join their team in Farnham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Acoustician with 1+ years’ consultancy experience who is looking to develop their technical skills, take greater ownership of projects and progress within a supportive specialist team.

The successful candidate will work across a varied portfolio of environmental and building acoustics projects, supporting clients from initial site assessment through to reporting, design advice and project delivery.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 1+ years’ experience working within an acoustic consultancy
  • A relevant degree in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline
  • Experience using acoustic modelling or analysis software would be advantageous
  • Membership of the Institute of Acoustics (IOA), or working towards membership, would be beneficial
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to attend sites when required.

Duties

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking environmental and building acoustics surveys
  • Carrying out noise monitoring and site assessments
  • Preparing technical reports and acoustic assessments
  • Supporting planning applications and noise impact assessments
  • Undertaking acoustic modelling and data analysis
  • Providing practical noise mitigation and design recommendations
  • Liaising with clients, architects, contractors, planners and other project stakeholders
  • Managing smaller projects independently as your experience develops
