Senior Geotechnical Engineer
We are working with a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy to recruit a Senior Geotechnical Engineer as part of their continued growth.
Our client operates nationally, delivering high-quality engineering solutions across residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure sectors. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and a collaborative approach, they are looking to strengthen their geotechnical capability with an experienced hire.
The Role
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering geotechnical services across a varied project portfolio.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing ground investigation programmes (Phase 1 and Phase 2)
- Producing and reviewing geotechnical interpretative reports
- Undertaking foundation design, slope stability analysis and earthworks assessments
- Providing geotechnical input into multidisciplinary project teams
- Managing projects, budgets and client relationships
- Mentoring junior staff and supporting team development
- Supporting business development and contributing to new work opportunities
About You
To be considered, you should have:
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline
- Proven experience within a consultancy environment
- Strong knowledge of UK ground investigation standards and practices
- Experience in geotechnical design and reporting
- Chartered status, or working towards chartership (ICE or Geological Society)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships
- A proactive and commercially aware approach
