Principal/Senior Transport Planner

A full-time opportunity is available for a Principal or Senior Transport Planner, based primarily in Swansea, with flexible home working options available.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans, with a focus on the technical management and delivery of transport planning projects.

The organisation provides specialist transport planning advice for development projects across both private and public sectors. While operating across a broad range of land uses, there is currently a strong focus on the Residential and Education sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting technical transport planning reports
• Conducting technical research and managing data collection
• Undertaking highway capacity modelling to assess development impact
• Demonstrating proficiency with TRICS, Junctions 9/10, and LINSIG software
• Designing preliminary access arrangements, junctions, and on-site layouts
• Assessing active travel opportunities and provisions
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members
• Assisting with business development activities alongside senior leadership

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in transport planning (Principal or Senior level)
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Competency in industry-standard software packages
