My Client, a market leading Building Services and Sustainability Consultancy, is searching for an Associate Electrical Design Engineer to join and manage their team in Central London.  

This innovative consultancy specialise in electrical and building services designs for varied residential developments, office blocks, student accommodation and hospitality (mixed use developments).  

You will manage the experienced and friendly team based in London.  

As an Associate Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in bringing diverse projects to life, from concept through to completion. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the team, checking technical designs and providing advice to the team when needed.
  • Manage and deliver projects, liaising with Clients to discuss designs and project development.
  • Develop new business opportunities with new and existing Clients. 
  • You will deliver high-quality electrical, cabling and lighting designs across a wide range of sectors including residential, education, commercial, industrial and mixed-use developments.
  • Engaging in all stages of the project lifecycle and liaise with multidisciplinary teams.  
  • Producing technical drawings and calculations for electrical systems and lighting using Dialux, Relux, Amtech, Revit and AutoCAD.  
  • Contributing to sustainable design solutions and low-carbon strategies.  
  • Supporting site installations and ensuring design compliance.
  • Representing the company at project meetings and client interactions suggesting innovative and sustainable solutions for developments.
  • Your expertise will be required to discuss design clashes and design details with clients and contractors, on site.        

Candidates are required to have a strong academic background in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering and experience working for UK based Consultancy as an Electrical Design Engineer. You will specialise in electrical design  using Dialux, Relux and/or Revit and have experience managing projects and teams.

You will work well with others, offering advice to staff and clients with ease.   You are required to have excellent communication skills to develop new business opportunities with new and existing clients.   

You will also be required to have a working knowledge of British/European standards and Building Regulations and BREEAM.  

A valid driving licence is also essential for site visits.   

Whilst this opportunity offers flexible working, you will be required to work from the office in London.
