Our client is an ambitious and fast-growing pioneering music supervision company, known for creating soundtracks for film, fashion, and luxury brands worldwide. 

They are currently looking for a Music Licensing Coordinator to join their team in Barcelona. This position plays a key role within the organisation, acting as the operational hub of the music supervision process and ensuring that all music licensing activities are managed smoothly, accurately, and on time.

In this role, you will take ownership of the licensing workflow from initial project scoping through to final delivery. You will collaborate closely with the Music Supervision, Finance, and Studio teams, while maintaining direct communication with labels, publishers, artists, and rights holders to secure and manage music rights efficiently. Main Responsibilities:

  • Gather and organise all required project information (scope, media, territories, usage, timelines) to ensure a smooth and efficient licensing process from the start
  • Manage music licensing across the full project lifecycle, from initial scoping through to final delivery
  • Conduct rights research and identify relevant rights holders, including labels, publishers, artists, and estates
  • Oversee clearance processes across multiple advertising and audiovisual projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Track licensing progress and proactively manage risks to stay aligned with production timelines
  • Draft, review, and finalise music licensing agreements, ensuring terms accurately reflect client usage and project requirements
  • Liaise with labels, publishers, and Business Affairs teams to ensure compliance and successful execution of agreements
  • Maintain accurate documentation, oversee the signature process, and ensure all contracts and licensing materials are properly archived and accessible


Core Skills/experience:

  • 2–4 years of experience in music licensing, sync, or a related role within the music or audiovisual industry
  • Degree in Music Business, Law, Copyright, or a related field
  • Fluent English, French or Spanish is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with agencies or production environments, combined with a true passion for contemporary music, is highly valued
  • Strong understanding of music rights, copyright frameworks, and clearance processes
  • Experience coordinating licensing activities for audiovisual, advertising, or film projects
  • Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Clear and confident communication skills, comfortable working with internal teams and external stakeholders
