CAD Engineer

1.0 Role

The appointee will be responsible for Computer Aided Design (CAD) and report directly into the Design Manager.

The CAD Engineer has no direct reports.

The scope of activities include developing:

Engineering drawings for new models.

Evaluation and implementation of Model engineering changes.

Key characteristics of the CAD Engineer are drive and resilience, to continually seek and implement improvements and maintain process discipline. They should be comfortable working as part of a Team but also able to take responsibility and work alone.

2.0 Key Deliverables

2.1 Develop accurate and timely engineering drawings.

2.2 To evaluate and implement Engineering changes.

3.0 Key Responsibilities

To be the Company expert on:

3.0 Inventor CAD software

3.1 Solidworks CAD software

And,

3.2 To understand and implement the Company rules

3.3 To participate in working groups.

3.4 Train other members of staff on CAD Software

4.0 The Person

.

4.1 Experienced in CAD,

Preferably Inventor.

But Solidworks is acceptable

4.2 Educated to ‘GCSE’ Level.

4.3 Demonstrate ‘Improvement’ mentality.

4.4 Self driven

4.5 ‘Can Do’ attitude
