A leading national structural engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to join its well-established Building Design team in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected practice known for delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a wide range of building projects.
Our client has a strong reputation in the industry, working across sectors including commercial, residential, education and mixed-use developments. Due to continued growth and a healthy project pipeline, they are now seeking an experienced engineer who is looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and technically strong environment.
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of structural designs from concept through to completion. You’ll work closely with senior leadership while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the technical development of the team.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading structural design on a variety of building projects
Producing calculations, reports and technical drawings
Liaising with architects, contractors and other design consultants
Supporting and mentoring graduate and junior engineers
Attending project meetings and contributing to client relationships
Ensuring projects are delivered to high technical and quality standards
Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
Several years’ experience in structural design within a consultancy environment
Experience working on building structures (steel, concrete, masonry, timber)
Proficiency with industry design software
Strong communication and project coordination skills
Working towards Chartership or recently Chartered (IStructE/ICE)
Salary of £50,000 – £57,000
