About Our Client

Join one of Canada’s top MedTech startups as they revolutionize healthcare robotics. This award-winning company is tackling critical challenges in safety, efficiency, and quality through user-centric, innovative robotics technology.

Backed by strong funding and partnerships with leading healthcare institutions, they’re poised for significant growth and looking for talented engineers to help shape the future.

Led by a team of deeply technical founders, the company is scaling its operations. As part of this growth, they’re expanding the Control Systems division, providing a unique opportunity to impact healthcare technology and work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Why You Should Join Their Team

This is your chance to contribute to an industry-defining startup where the technology you develop will directly improve healthcare safety, efficiency, and quality. Working onsite with a tight-knit team of engineers in Toronto’s West End, you'll be integral in transitioning a Python-based codebase to a robust embedded Linux environment, laying the foundation for larger-scale manufacturing.

Your work will have a tangible impact by enhancing automation, streamlining workflows, and integrating customer feedback into real-world solutions.

This is an on-site role offering $80,000 - $105,000 + benefits in a location with easy access to parking and public transit.

If you're excited about driving innovation in healthcare robotics and ready to take on technical challenges, we want to hear from you.

How You’ll Make an Impact

In the first three months, you’ll:

  • Dive into the existing codebase, supporting the current platform by understanding documentation and technical foundations.

  • Contribute to system stabilization, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

  • Begin transitioning the codebase from Python to embedded Linux.

  • Collaborate with the team on the telemetry dashboard, focusing on data collection and processing improvements.

  • Integrate device data with cloud systems to enhance data management and the user interface.

  • Start implementing feedback from users to refine system functionality.

In the first six months, you’ll:

  • Support the legacy platform, ensuring it continues to operate smoothly.

  • Lead the transition to embedded Linux, ensuring the codebase is optimized for stability and scalability.

  • Drive improvements in the telemetry dashboard, focusing on architecture and design enhancements for data processing.

  • Collaborate closely with customers and users, integrating feedback into new feature development.

  • Foster a collaborative environment through active participation in code reviews and teamwork.

By one year, you’ll:

  • Take on larger, more complex projects, including software architecture and design responsibilities.

  • Work closely with leadership, shaping technical objectives and influencing business decisions.

  • Have the opportunity to progress to a Principal Engineer role, contributing to the company’s growth and long-term vision.

  • Benefit from career development opportunities, mentorship, and increased leadership responsibilities as the team continues to scale.
