Assistant Sustainability Consultant

£30,000-£35,000 + training and courses

Location: Birmingham

My Client, a market leading sustainability and building services consultancy, based in the heart of Birmingham is searching for an Assistant Sustainability Consultant (BREEAM AP qualified) to join their friendly team.  You will be required to work from the office on a hybrid basis and receive training to become fully BREEAM Accredited within the first few months of employment.   

As an Assistant Sustainability Consultant you will be trained and supported to complete;

  • BREEAM Assessments.
  • SAP Assessments.  
  • Whole Life Carbon Assessments.
  • Life Cycle Assessments using OneClick LCA.  
  • Analyse complex datasets to quantify whole life carbon and present findings clearly to Clients and recommend solutions.  
  • Address Client queries and concerns following LCA results and recommendations.  
  • LCA Project Management including delivering projects to time and budget.  
  • Conduct technical verifications of building LCA studies.
  • Develop the carbon management platform, CarbonCentric.  
  • Sustainability Statements.

As an Assistant Sustainability Consultant, you are expected to have experience working for a UK based Consultancy and ideally be based close to Birmingham as you will be required to work from the office on a hybrid basis.  

You will be expected to have an MSc or BSc in a relevant discipline (e.g. Environmental Management, Energy, Sustainable Engineering) and BREEAM AP qualified.  

You will also have experience completing Sustainability Statements, BREEAM Assessments, Life Cycle Assessments and/or Whole Life Carbon Assessments.   

Candidates are also required to have a passion for delivering sustainable solutions for eco-friendly buildings and advising clients on environmental impacts and energy efficiency.  

It is also beneficial for applicants to have a professional accreditation (e.g. RICS, CIBSE or similar) and experience delivering WELL Assessments.
