Associate Acoustics Consultant
Location: Cork, Limerick or Co. Kerry, Ireland
 Salary: €65,000–€85,000 + package

Aztrum is working with a young, ambitious and rapidly expanding environmental consultancy looking to appoint an Associate Acoustic Consultant to develop and grow its presence across the South and South-West of Ireland.

It is an opportunity for an experienced Acoustics professional to take ownership of a region, develop new client relationships, win work and play a major role in shaping the future growth of the business.

The successful individual will ideally be based in Cork, Limerick or Co. Kerry and already have a strong network within the Irish consultancy, planning, development or construction market.

For someone who has built a reputation and client base within the industry but wants greater autonomy, responsibility and influence, this could be an excellent next step.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • Strong professional experience within either Acoustic consultancy
  • A good understanding of the Irish environmental, planning and development market
  • Proven business development experience
  • A demonstrable track record of winning work and developing client relationships
  • The ability to generate and develop new project opportunities
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Confidence dealing directly with developers, architects, planning consultants, engineers and other key stakeholders
  • Experience managing projects and client relationships
  • The ambition to help build and lead a regional consultancy presence
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Duties

As an Associate Acoustic Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing the consultancy's presence across Cork, Limerick, Kerry and surrounding areas
  • Identifying and securing new clients and project opportunities
  • Bringing existing relationships and opportunities into the business
  • Building long-term relationships with developers, planning consultants, architects and multidisciplinary consultancies
  • Leading business development activity within the region
  • Preparing proposals, fee submissions and tenders
  • Managing key client accounts
  • Delivering and overseeing projects depending on your technical background
  • Supporting the recruitment and development of a regional team as workload grows
  • Working closely with the wider leadership team on growth strategy

Why consider the opportunity?

This role offers considerably more scope than a traditional Consultancy position.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Build and lead your own regional presence
  • Join a young, yet established, consultancy at an exciting stage of its growth
  • Have genuine influence over the direction of the business
  • Develop a team around you as the region grows
  • Work with an ambitious and commercially minded leadership team
  • Benefit from significant autonomy over client and business development activity
  • Work across a broad range of interesting environmental projects
  • Progress into a senior leadership position as the business expands
  • Build something with your own identity rather than simply inherit an established portfolio
  • Receive a competitive salary and package reflective of the seniority and commercial nature of the role

This opportunity would particularly suit an ambitious Principal or Associate level consultant who feels they have reached a ceiling within a larger consultancy and wants the freedom to develop a region of their own.

If you already have strong relationships within the Irish market and believe you could help build a successful consultancy presence across Cork, Limerick or Co. Kerry, please apply now or reach out to Charlotte Lavender at Aztrum for more information!
