I’m currently supporting a well-established multidisciplinary environmental and sustainability consultancy in their search for a Senior Acoustic Consultant to join their growing team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected consultancy with a strong reputation across the built environment sector. The business works on a diverse portfolio of projects spanning commercial, industrial, retail, infrastructure and public sector developments, offering exposure to both environmental and building acoustics work within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

You’ll work closely with clients, planners, architects and internal teams to provide practical, commercially focused solutions across all stages of development.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct environmental noise and vibration assessments
• Carry out site surveys, monitoring and acoustic measurements
• Prepare detailed technical reports and provide client recommendations
• Support projects relating to planning, development and compliance
• Liaise with clients, local authorities and multidisciplinary teams
 • Mentor junior team members and support project delivery where appropriate

The Candidate

Requirements:
• Experience within acoustic consultancy (environmental and/or building acoustics)
• Strong technical report writing skills
• Good understanding of relevant standards and UK guidance
• Experience with noise modelling and acoustic assessment software
• Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
• Degree qualified in Acoustics, Environmental Science or similar
 • Membership of the IOA or working towards chartership is desirable

Benefits

  • Hybrid / flexible working
  • Work from home options
  • Pension scheme
  • Health cash plan
  • Death in service cover
  • Performance bonuses
  • Employee discounts platform
  • Bike to work scheme
  • Professional development & funded training
  • Maternity / paternity leave
  • Sick pay
  • Referral bonuses / joining bonuses (reported by employees)
  • Potential car allowance depending on role/seniority
  • Social events and team activities

This position offers hybrid working, a strong pipeline of projects, clear progression opportunities and the chance to join a consultancy that continues to invest heavily in its people and technical capability.
