The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has opened for a Chartered Senior Structural Engineer to join the growing Bristol office. This role is ideal for a technically strong and commercially aware engineer looking to lead projects across a diverse portfolio, with a particular focus on logistics, residential, and retail developments.
You will play a pivotal role in driving technical excellence, leading project delivery, and contributing to the continued expansion of the Bristol team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring quality, compliance, and efficiency.
- Act as the primary technical authority on projects within the logistics, residential, and retail sectors.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and external stakeholders to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Undertake structural assessments and inspections of new and existing buildings across a range of materials including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
- Carry out structural analysis and design using industry-standard software such as Tekla.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation including reports, calculations, and specifications.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
About You
Essential:
- Degree-qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent).
- Chartered Engineer (MIStructE or MICE) – essential.
- Proven experience delivering projects within logistics, residential, and retail sectors.
- Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, and UK building regulations.
- Proficient in structural analysis and design software.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence.
