My Client a Market-Leading Environmental Consultancy who specialise in sustainability and ecology are searching for a Senior Ecologist based in Bristol.    

As a Senior Ecologist, you will take a lead role in delivering high-quality ecological services to clients across the infrastructure, development, and heritage sectors. You will be expected to complete and overseeing ecological surveys, authoring technical reports, and preparing Habitat Regulations Assessments (HRAs). Your input will support planning applications for mixed use developments, biodiversity strategies and wider environmental assessments.

As a Senior Ecologist you will be expected to;

• Lead and deliver field surveys (including phase 1 habitat regulation assessments, protected species surveys and biodiversity assessments).
• Produce ecological reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs), Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), and HRAs.
• Advise clients on ecological constraints and providing solutions for developments.
• Assist with project and team management, including mentoring junior ecologists and expanding the new team.  
• Liaise with stakeholders, regulators, and planning authorities to ensure best practice and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to the development of innovative ecological solutions mixed use developments across the UK.  
• Biodiversity net gain and rewilding of habitats.        
• Protected species surveys for Bats.    

As a Senior Ecologist you will be expected to have vast experience working for a UK based ecological consultancy specialising in ecological reporting, HRAs, biodiversity net gain and protected species surveys (Bats and Great Crested Newts).  

Candidates are required to have CIEEM membership, a full UK driving licence and protected species licences.
