Part II Architectural Assistant

Aztrum is proud to be partnering with a well-established and growing architectural practice in Birmingham, who are looking to appoint a Part II Architectural Assistant to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and capable designer who can demonstrate project running experience and is looking to take on real responsibility within a studio-based environment.

Key Responsibilities for this Part II Architectural Assistant role:

• Support and contribute to residential housing schemes at RIBA Stages 2–3
• Demonstrate project running capability, taking ownership of defined packages of work
• Work closely with the Associate within the Planning Team
• Produce planning drawings, design packages, and presentation material
• Liaise with consultants and internal team members to coordinate information
• Provide crossover support to the technical team when required
• Attend internal design meetings and assist with planning submissions

Requirements for this Part II Architectural Assistant role:

• RIBA Part II qualified with experience in UK architectural practice
• Able to clearly demonstrate project running experience
• Experience within the housebuilding sector is advantageous but not essential
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign
• Organised, motivated, and comfortable working within a medium-sized practice
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a hands-on studio environment
• Full UK driver’s licence required
