Based in Holmfield, Halifax our reputable and progressive Client are a privately owned company operating primarily in the import, storage, sales and distribution of wood based panel products. The business stocks a wide range of unique and specialist panels in addition to readily available commodity products. 

Due to high demand in the company and further expansion over the last 25 years, our client are officially ready to locate another dedicated member to join their ever growing team.

Our client are looking for an optimistic and driven individual to join their expanding team as their Systems Administrator. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Operations Department and training will be available to the individual. 


Role Purpose:

Consistently work on the Company’s compliance with industry-specific regulations and standards. Work on systems and processes that aim to reduce the environmental impact of the company. Analyse and audit operational procedures and processes working to maximise efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Become knowledgeable in industry-specific regulations and standards and ensure company compliance.
  • Mapping and assessment of company supply chains, collecting documentation to evidence legality.
  • Assisting with the management of sustainable forestry initiatives schemes such as FSC and PEFC.
  • Assisting with the management of the Company’s Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001. 
  • Assisting with the management of the Company’s Environmental Management System in line with ISO 14001.
  • Auditing procedures and processes, suggesting improvements and identifying potential risks.  
  • Review existing processes and improve efficiency. 
  • Development of new environmental initiatives that will improve the company environmental performance and reduce negative environmental impacts. 
  • Work as part of a team on the development of strategies regarding topics such as carbon, circular economy, product lifecycle assessment and more.  
  • Knowledge and understating of product technical performance in line with Construction Products Regulation. 
  • Provide excellent overall customer service and manage all external relationships in a professional manner.

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications: 

  • Strong MS Office applications skills to include, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Higher Education (University degree) preferable. 
  • Negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Capacity to work with people at all levels in an organisation and work effectively in a team.
  • Critical thinker and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time-management skills.
