Senior Revit Sprinkler Designer – Team Lead

Overview
A growing and forward-thinking sprinkler design organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Revit Sprinkler Designer to lead its design team. This is a leadership-focused role, combining team management and technical oversight with some hands-on design work when required.

The Role
As Senior Designer, you will:

• Lead and mentor a team of Revit sprinkler designers, driving quality and consistency across projects.
• Oversee the design and development of fire sprinkler systems using Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other BIM tools.
• Ensure compliance with fire protection codes and standards (BSEN 12845, NFPA, FM Global).
• Conduct quality control reviews and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to deliver accurate, compliant designs.
• Support professional development through training initiatives and knowledge sharing.
• Balance leadership responsibilities with occasional hands-on design input where needed.

About You

• Proven experience in fire sprinkler system design, with strong proficiency in Revit and related BIM software.
• Solid knowledge of fire protection codes and standards.
• Skilled in hydraulic calculations and pipe sizing.
• Track record of managing teams and delivering projects to deadline.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Additional certifications (e.g. LPCB Sprinkler) and familiarity with fire alarm or gas suppression systems are advantageous.
