Quantity Surveyor – Painting
Location: Derby (with hybrid/flexible working)
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + full package

A well‑established specialist subcontractor within the property and construction sector is seeking an experienced Painting Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. With a strong pipeline of projects across commercial, industrial, retail and maintenance sectors, this is a chance to join a reputable business known for quality, stability and long‑term progression.

Role Overview
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage your own portfolio of projects from start to finish, working both in the office and out on site.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting site measures for valuation and cost-control purposes
- Producing accurate monthly valuations and accounts
- Monitoring project costs, values and progress
- Liaising closely with clients, Contracts Managers and site teams
- Preparing Method Statements and Risk Assessments
- Assisting with programme monitoring and project reporting
- Ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely and to required standards
Your work will be crucial to the successful commercial delivery of each project.
About You
You will thrive in this role if you are:
- Analytical, organised and meticulous with detail
- A confident communicator with clients and colleagues
- Experienced in running your own projects
- From a painting, plastering or drylining subcontracting background (all considered)
- Proactive and able to manage your workload independently
Experience within finishing trades is particularly valued.
