We’re working with a well-established and forward-thinking Building Services Design Consultancy looking to appoint a Building Physics Consultant to support their expanding sustainability and building performance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for building performance and energy modelling to work on a diverse range of projects, delivering high-quality, sustainable design solutions.
The Role
As a Building Physics Consultant, you will:
- Deliver building performance analysis across a range of projects
- Support the design team with energy-efficient and sustainable solutions
- Carry out modelling and simulation to inform design decisions
- Work closely with clients, architects, and engineers
- Assist in the delivery of compliance and sustainability strategies
- Contribute to project reports and technical documentation
Technical Responsibilities
- Dynamic simulation modelling using IES VE
- Part L compliance (SBEM) and EPC production
- Overheating assessments (TM52 / TM59 / Part O)
- Operational energy modelling (TM54)
- Daylight and thermal comfort analysis
- Support with low and zero carbon strategies
About You
- Degree in Building Physics, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or similar
- Experience in a building physics or sustainability role
- Proficiency with IES VE (essential)
- Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Able to attend the Milton Keynes office 2 days per week
