We’re working with a well-established and forward-thinking Building Services Design Consultancy looking to appoint a Building Physics Consultant to support their expanding sustainability and building performance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for building performance and energy modelling to work on a diverse range of projects, delivering high-quality, sustainable design solutions.

The Role

As a Building Physics Consultant, you will:

  • Deliver building performance analysis across a range of projects
  • Support the design team with energy-efficient and sustainable solutions
  • Carry out modelling and simulation to inform design decisions
  • Work closely with clients, architects, and engineers
  • Assist in the delivery of compliance and sustainability strategies
  • Contribute to project reports and technical documentation

Technical Responsibilities

  • Dynamic simulation modelling using IES VE
  • Part L compliance (SBEM) and EPC production
  • Overheating assessments (TM52 / TM59 / Part O)
  • Operational energy modelling (TM54)
  • Daylight and thermal comfort analysis
  • Support with low and zero carbon strategies

About You

  • Degree in Building Physics, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or similar
  • Experience in a building physics or sustainability role
  • Proficiency with IES VE (essential)
  • Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and compliance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Able to attend the Milton Keynes office 2 days per week
