Civil Engineer – Drainage & Infrastructure

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their growing infrastructure team. This role is being advertised by a recruitment partner on behalf of the client, due to continued project growth across the residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors.

The successful candidate will be involved in the design and delivery of drainage and infrastructure schemes from concept through to detailed design and approval. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who is working towards Chartership and looking to further develop their technical and professional capabilities within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of drainage strategies and detailed designs using InfoDrainage
• Infrastructure and earthworks design using Civil 3D
• Delivery of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) designs in line with current standards
• Production of Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) and drainage statements
• Coordination with internal teams, local authorities, and external stakeholders
• Supporting junior staff and contributing to technical excellence across projects

About the Candidate:

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Demonstrable experience in drainage and infrastructure design
• Proficient in InfoDrainage and Civil 3D
• Strong understanding of SuDS principles and flood risk policy
• Experience producing FRAs
• Ideally en route to Chartership (ICE or similar), with a clear development plan
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, collaborative approach
