The Opportunity

We are looking for a Health & Safety Consultant to take on the role of Principal Designer in our client's growing Health and Safety team in Leeds, UK. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious person with drive, enthusiasm and a good knowledge of design and construction-related activities and the designer's duties to develop the Principal Designer role.

How you will deliver

As a CDM Principal Designer, you will provide clients across the Leeds and North West region with strategic advice on developing and implementing health and safety systems and policy through to developing structured and comprehensive risk management systems throughout the full lifecycle of construction and infrastructure projects.  Project sectors include Hotels, Housing, commercial, mixed-use,  retail, health and education. You will apply various methods from the use of risk registers to sophisticated risk modelling software, providing clients with the best advice to develop plans to eliminate risks on projects or within existing facilities.

Your skills and experience

• Relevant experience in providing client-side Health and Safety services within the construction or property industry.
• Good experience working under CDM (2015) as Principal Designer or CDM Consultant.
• Experience in a wide range of sectors and working knowledge of large-scale/complex projects.
• Hold or be working towards CMIOSH status.
• Hold or be working towards IMAPS status.
