Junior Planner / Contracts Support

AMB Recruitment are working with a well‑established North West main contractor who are looking to bring in a Junior Planner / Contracts Support to support their pre‑construction and early contracts activities.

This role focuses on planning, organisation and coordination, supporting senior team members with the groundwork required to move projects forward efficiently. It would suit someone who enjoys pulling information together, understands construction sequencing, and is happy doing the leg work that sits behind programmes and project setup.

The successful candidate will work closely with the pre‑construction and contracts teams, assisting with planning tasks, programme preparation and general coordination across multiple workstreams.

What the role involves

• Assisting with the preparation of basic construction programmes (logic, sequencing and groundwork)
• Updating and maintaining programme information for senior review
• Supporting planning and pre‑construction tasks across upcoming projects
• Coordinating information between consultants, internal teams and subcontractors
• Tracking actions, information returns and outstanding items
• Supporting the contracts team with general organisation and early project setup
• Proactively chasing information and keeping things moving

• Some planning experience or exposure within a construction environment
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
