Electrical Engineer 

Location: Carlisle, Cumbria
Type: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week - Multiple shift patterns available

Role and Key Responsibilities 

Discover are recruiting an experienced Maintenance Electricians to join a leading manufacturing business in Carlisle this is part of the companies exciting plans moving forward with modern production equipment and automated warehousing.

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on automated production machinery.
• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Fault-find using PLC systems, including Siemens
• Maintain motors, drives, electrical distribution and control systems.
• Support machinery upgrades, installations and continuous improvement projects.
• Work closely with mechanical and electrical maintenance teams.

Experience Required

• Time-served Electrician with relevant electrical qualifications.
• Industrial maintenance experience, ideally within manufacturing.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and PLC diagnostic skills.
• Experience with Siemens PLCs and motor drives is highly desirable.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and diagnose motor faults.
• 18th Edition qualification preferred.

• Salary £45,000 – £65,000+ dependent on shift pattern.
