Summary of role

This would be a fantastic opportunity for a progressive and motivated individual who is looking to put their first foot forward in the legal sector. The role of Receptionist includes greeting customers and clients when they arrive, keeping an appointment book, providing direction and assistance, and answering phone calls in a helpful manner. You will be answering phone calls, ensuring security protocols for visitors are followed and directing calls to specific departments or people. 

What will you be doing?

  • Scheduling and confirming appointments, handling inquiries, and managing mail and deliveries. You may also be required to assist with filing.
  • Welcoming clients and visitors upon arrival at reception. Notifying the appropriate people that a visitor has arrived to see them and keeping track of the people arriving for appointments and when they leave the building.
  • Answering, screening, and forwarding phone calls in a professional manner and responding appropriately to the caller’s needs. 
  • Maintaining the stock of office supplies as needed.
  • Assisting with copying, scanning, faxing, emailing, note-taking, and travel bookings.

Experience and Qualifications: 

  • Minimum Level 2 / GCSE grade C in English.
  • Minimum Level 2 / GCSE grade C in Mathematics.
  • Previous experience required in a receptionist or admin-based role.

Skills and Knowledge requirements:

  • Basic computer skills and excellent typing ability. 
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Competency in general office administration.
  • A good listener with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Good time management.
  • Have excellent personal presentation, professional demeanour, and verbal service.
  • Be flexible, motivated, and committed with good time management.
