Senior Town Planner – Birmingham
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected firm known for delivering innovative planning solutions across the UK.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline within the strategic land sector, our client is seeking a Senior Town Planner (or experienced Planner ready for promotion) to join their Birmingham office. You’ll be involved in a diverse range of strategic land projects — from small-scale residential applications to major new settlement proposals and strategic employment schemes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver a range of strategic land and development planning projects
• Prepare, submit, and monitor planning applications and appeals
• Provide clear, robust, and well-structured planning advice and reports
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders
• Contribute to business development and support the wider team in achieving collective goals

The ideal Senior Planner will:

• Be RTPI qualified or working towards chartered status
• Have a strong understanding of the UK planning system, ideally with experience in strategic land promotion
• Have proven ability to deliver projects to deadlines and to a high professional standard
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be motivated, proactive, and keen to develop your expertise and career
