My client is seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Civil Engineer to lead their growing Newcastle office. This is a senior technical and leadership role, ideal for a chartered engineer looking to take ownership of projects, lead teams, and contribute to the strategic growth of the business.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality civil engineering solutions across a range of sectors, while supporting junior engineers and strengthening client relationships.
Lead and manage civil engineering projects from concept through to completion
Take technical responsibility for design delivery, ensuring quality and compliance
Oversee and mentor engineers and technicians within the team
Act as a key point of contact for clients, authorities, and stakeholders
Support business development, bids, and proposals
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
Chartered Engineer (CEng or IEng) or working towards chartership
Significant consultancy experience in civil infrastructure design
Strong knowledge of drainage, highways, and/or development infrastructure
Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Commercially aware with a collaborative leadership style
