We are working with a leading multidisciplinary property and building consultancy who are looking to appoint a Chartered Building Surveyor to join their growing Manchester team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced surveyor to work across a varied portfolio of projects, providing professional building surveying advice to a diverse range of public and private sector clients.

The successful candidate will be involved across the full project lifecycle, from initial inspections and feasibility through to project delivery and completion, working alongside colleagues across architecture, building consultancy and project management.

The Role of a Chartered Building Surveyor:

• Undertaking a range of building surveys, inspections and condition assessments across existing properties.
• Preparing detailed technical reports, schedules and specifications, providing clear and practical recommendations to clients.
• Advising clients on defects, maintenance, refurbishment and building-related issues.
• Supporting and managing refurbishment, alteration and maintenance projects from inception through to completion.
• Providing contract administration and project management services across a variety of building works.
• Acting on behalf of clients throughout the procurement and delivery process.
• Preparing tender documentation, specifications and schedules of work.
• Monitoring works on site, assessing progress and quality, and reporting to clients.

Essential Qualifications needed:

• MRICS qualified Chartered Building Surveyor.
• Strong professional experience within a building surveying consultancy environment.
• Good technical knowledge of building construction, defects, refurbishment and maintenance.
• Experience of contract administration and project delivery.
• Strong report writing and client-facing skills.
