An established life safety and critical infrastructure specialist is looking to appoint an experienced Fire Alarm & Fire Suppression Engineer to work across high‑value, mission‑critical environments, including data centres and specialist sites across the UK and Europe.

This role offers a varied mix of installation, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding, with a strong focus on gaseous fire suppression systems.

The Role

  • Installation and commissioning of addressable fire alarm and fire suppression systems
  • Working on gaseous, chemical and water-based suppression systems
  • Service, maintenance and emergency call-out work on fixed fire suppression equipment
  • Commissioning of addressable and conventional systems
  • Completing certification, documentation and commissioning records
  • Working across specialist sectors, primarily within critical infrastructure / data centres
  • UK-wide travel with some European work (pre-booked)

Systems Exposure

  • CO₂, FM200, FK‑5‑1‑12 (Novec 1230)
  • IG‑01, IG‑55, IG‑100, IG‑541
  • Water mist and associated suppression systems
  • Addressable fire systems (Notifier, Gent, Kentec, Advanced, etc.)

What They’re Looking For

  • Proven experience working on fire suppression systems (essential)
  • Commissioning experience on gaseous systems
  • Good working knowledge of:
    • BS5839‑1
    • BS7273
    • BS6266
    • BS EN 15004
  • Able to work independently and problem-solve on site
  • Confident communicator with a professional approach to client-facing work

Requirements

  • CSCS or ECS card
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe
  • Positive, reliable and keen to continue developing technically
