An established life safety and critical infrastructure specialist is looking to appoint an experienced Fire Alarm & Fire Suppression Engineer to work across high‑value, mission‑critical environments, including data centres and specialist sites across the UK and Europe.
This role offers a varied mix of installation, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding, with a strong focus on gaseous fire suppression systems.
The Role
- Installation and commissioning of addressable fire alarm and fire suppression systems
- Working on gaseous, chemical and water-based suppression systems
- Service, maintenance and emergency call-out work on fixed fire suppression equipment
- Commissioning of addressable and conventional systems
- Completing certification, documentation and commissioning records
- Working across specialist sectors, primarily within critical infrastructure / data centres
- UK-wide travel with some European work (pre-booked)
Systems Exposure
- CO₂, FM200, FK‑5‑1‑12 (Novec 1230)
- IG‑01, IG‑55, IG‑100, IG‑541
- Water mist and associated suppression systems
- Addressable fire systems (Notifier, Gent, Kentec, Advanced, etc.)
What They’re Looking For
- Proven experience working on fire suppression systems (essential)
- Commissioning experience on gaseous systems
- Good working knowledge of:
- BS5839‑1
- BS7273
- BS6266
- BS EN 15004
- Able to work independently and problem-solve on site
- Confident communicator with a professional approach to client-facing work
Requirements
- CSCS or ECS card
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe
- Positive, reliable and keen to continue developing technically
