Role Overview:
As the Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the firm’s growth by leading business development initiatives, securing new clients, and fostering relationships within targeted industries. This newly created position offers a unique opportunity to shape the business development strategy from the ground up, with a strong emphasis on generating revenue and leveraging a network of clients and industry contacts. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrate a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive client acquisition and revenue growth.
- Leverage existing industry connections and actively seek new relationships to build a robust client pipeline.
- Collaborate closely with the firm’s partners to align business development efforts with strategic goals.
- Identify potential clients' legal needs and position the firm as the preferred legal partner in relevant industries.
- Lead efforts to secure high-value clients by conducting market research, developing pitches, and negotiating engagement terms.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote its services.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development within the legal sector, with a track record of successfully bringing in new business.
- An established network of contacts in start-ups, technology, or film & TV industries is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of legal services and the ability to effectively communicate the firm’s value proposition.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive approach to developing new business opportunities.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
