Job Overview:

My client based in South Wales are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and routers.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Program CNC machines using G-code and other programming languages.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
  • Conduct quality control inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize machining processes.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC machining is preferred.
  • 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operation.
  • Familiarity with various machining tools and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety.
