Civil Engineer

We are working with a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy who are on the search to bring in a Civil Engineer to join their growing team in Birmingham. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of infrastructure projects while developing technical expertise under the guidance of experienced senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce engineering drawings, calculations, technical reports, and design documentation.
• Use industry-standard software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Causeway Flow, KeySign, and Lighting Reality to develop engineering designs.
• Apply knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) and designers' responsibilities throughout project delivery.
• Follow established engineering procedures and quality assurance processes to ensure high standards of design and project delivery.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and senior colleagues to deliver projects efficiently.
• Work in accordance with relevant design standards, technical guidance, and industry best practice.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and external stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
• Identify, assess, and manage technical risks within assigned responsibilities.
• Support the successful delivery of multidisciplinary civil engineering projects as part of a collaborative team.
• Undertake site visits to assess existing conditions, identify project constraints, and monitor construction activities where required.
