We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to join a medium sized multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy based in the centre of London.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical discipline on assigned projects from concept through to completion.
- Provide technical leadership, innovation, and expertise in building services design.
- Guide and oversee the development of complex mechanical systems and engineering solutions.
- Lead, mentor, and support engineers, graduates, and apprentices, fostering professional growth and development.
- Ensure projects are appropriately resourced and delivered to programme, budget, and quality expectations.
- Manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining effective financial and resource control.
- Liaise directly with clients and key stakeholders to understand requirements and develop practical design solutions.
- Maintain clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate across disciplines to identify and resolve multidisciplinary engineering challenges.
- Support the development and implementation of technical standards, best practices, and quality procedures.
- Monitor and apply document control and design management procedures.
- Identify and develop new project opportunities and potential revenue streams.
- Ensure all project work is delivered in accordance with company processes, procedures, and industry standards.
- Work towards or maintain Chartered Engineer status through a relevant professional institution (CIBSE, IET, IMechE, or equivalent).

- Proven experience within mechanical building services engineering.
- Strong technical design and project delivery capabilities.
- Experience leading projects and managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial awareness and project financial management experience.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
- A commitment to mentoring and developing junior team members.
- Working towards, or already holding, Chartered Engineer status.
