An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Energy & Sustainability Consultant to join a growing Building Services Design Consultancy in Milton Keynes.

This role is ideal for someone looking to play a key part in delivering energy-efficient, low-carbon solutions across a diverse range of projects, while developing their technical expertise within a supportive and experienced team.

The Role

As an Energy & Sustainability Consultant, you will:

• Support the delivery of energy and sustainability strategies across multiple projects
• Work closely with design teams to influence low-carbon and energy-efficient solutions
• Carry out energy modelling and building performance analysis
• Assist in the production of sustainability and planning reports
• Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers
• Contribute to the successful delivery of projects from concept through to completion

Technical Responsibilities

• Part L compliance and SBEM modelling
• Dynamic simulation modelling using IES VE
• Overheating assessments (TM52 / TM59 / Part O)
• Operational energy modelling (TM54)
• Support with BREEAM assessments and sustainability frameworks
• Energy and sustainability reporting for planning

About You

• Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Building Physics, or similar
• Experience in an energy or sustainability consultancy role
• Proficiency with IES VE and/or SBEM
• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and energy standards
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Willingness to work in the Milton Keynes office 2 days per week
