Our client is a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy providing engineering, design, and surveying services across the construction industry. With offices across the UK and a strong reputation for technical excellence, they deliver projects across a wide range of sectors including commercial, residential, R&D, and energy.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Structural Engineer with a minimum of two years’ post-graduate consultancy experience to join their growing Structural Engineering team in Hemel Hempstead.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Producing structural designs in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
- Carrying out structural analysis using industry-standard software including Tekla and TEDDS
- Assisting with project coordination and technical delivery
- Collaborating with architects, contractors, clients, and internal teams
- Attending meetings and supporting project communication with stakeholders
- Conducting site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications
- Supporting innovative and practical engineering solutions
- Working towards Chartership with structured support and mentorship
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- Degree qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within a structural engineering consultancy
- Experience designing with common building materials
- Understanding of geotechnical and foundation design principles
- Proficiency in structural design software
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- A proactive attitude and desire for continued technical development
- Full UK driving licence
