Our client is a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy providing engineering, design, and surveying services across the construction industry. With offices across the UK and a strong reputation for technical excellence, they deliver projects across a wide range of sectors including commercial, residential, R&D, and energy.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Structural Engineer with a minimum of two years’ post-graduate consultancy experience to join their growing Structural Engineering team in Hemel Hempstead. 

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing structural designs in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
  • Carrying out structural analysis using industry-standard software including Tekla and TEDDS
  • Assisting with project coordination and technical delivery
  • Collaborating with architects, contractors, clients, and internal teams
  • Attending meetings and supporting project communication with stakeholders
  • Conducting site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications
  • Supporting innovative and practical engineering solutions
  • Working towards Chartership with structured support and mentorship

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should possess:

  • Degree qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within a structural engineering consultancy
  • Experience designing with common building materials
  • Understanding of geotechnical and foundation design principles
  • Proficiency in structural design software
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive attitude and desire for continued technical development
  • Full UK driving licence
