A growing and well-regarded transport planning consultancy is seeking a Graduate Transport Planner to join its expanding team. This opportunity is being advertised by a recruitment partner on behalf of the company.

This role offers an excellent launchpad into Transport Planning within a supportive SME environment, providing structured development, real project exposure, and long-term progression opportunities.

The Role

Working alongside experienced Transport Planners and Civil Engineers, the successful candidate will support planning applications for new and regenerated development sites. Over a 12–18 month graduate programme, they will gain hands-on consultancy experience across multiple live projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with Transport Assessments, Statements, and Travel Plans
• Supporting site layout, access, and parking design reviews
• Interpreting local and national planning policy
• Analysing traffic impact using TRICS and modelling software (with support)
• Reviewing architect layouts and design standards (including CAD input)
• Attending client meetings and site visits with senior colleagues
• Contributing to business development and marketing initiatives

About You

• Degree educated
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical with excellent attention to detail
• Organised, proactive, and able to manage workload effectively
• Interested in development planning, transport, and sustainable travel
• Comfortable working both independently and within a team
