Sustainability Consultant – Energy Modelling

A growing sustainability consultancy is looking to appoint a Sustainability Consultant with a strong focus on energy modelling to join its fully remote team.

This role is suited to an experienced professional with a proven track record in delivering building performance modelling, energy assessments, and compliance outputs across residential and commercial developments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering advanced building performance modelling using IES VE
  • Producing Part L compliance models (SBEM and Dynamic Simulation Modelling)
  • Carrying out overheating assessments (TM52, TM59, BB101)
  • Delivering operational energy modelling (TM54)
  • Producing Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and improvement recommendations
  • Undertaking daylight analysis for planning and sustainability requirements
  • Generating BRUKL documentation and compliance reports
  • Leading project workstreams and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Attending design team meetings and supporting project delivery through planning stages
  • Producing clear, high-quality technical reports within project deadlines

The Ideal Candidate

  • Several years’ experience within a sustainability or energy modelling consultancy
  • Strong hands-on experience delivering IES VE modelling outputs
  • Proven experience across SBEM, TM52, TM54, and EPC production
  • Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations (Part L) and compliance processes
  • Experience working on residential and mixed-use developments
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage with clients and design teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a remote environment
