Traffic Engineer – Consultancy Role

I’m working on behalf of an award-winning, multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Nottingham that is looking to appoint a Traffic Engineer to support its continued growth.

This well-established consultancy is highly regarded within the construction industry, valued for its wealth of experience, creative engineering solutions, and consistently effective project delivery. With a strong pipeline of work across the UK, they offer an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

The Role

As a Traffic Engineer, you’ll be involved in the delivery of transport and highways elements across a range of development projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use schemes. Responsibilities will include:

• Preparing Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
• Undertaking junction modelling and traffic analysis
• Supporting planning applications with robust transport evidence
• Liaising with local authorities, clients, and project teams
• Contributing to innovative and practical transport solutions

About You

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, or a related discipline
• Experience working within a consultancy or similar professional environment
• Understanding of UK highways and transport standards
• Familiarity with junction modelling software (e.g. ARCADY, PICADY, LinSig)
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
