We are looking for a Project Engineer to join a growing engineering consultancy based in Essex. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects, coordinating teams, and supporting delivery from concept through to construction.
As a Project Engineer, you will support the planning, coordination, and technical delivery of civil and/or structural engineering projects, working closely with senior engineers, clients, and contractors.
Assisting in the management and delivery of engineering projects to programme and budget
Coordinating technical information between designers, clients, and contractors
Supporting the preparation and review of drawings, calculations, reports, and specifications
Monitoring project progress, risks, and changes
Attending design team, client, and site meetings
Supporting quality assurance, health & safety, and compliance with relevant standards
Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
Experience in a consultancy or contractor environment
Good technical understanding of civil and/or structural engineering design and construction
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
Familiarity with UK design standards and project delivery processes
Progress toward professional qualification (ICE / IStructE or similar)
Experience liaising with clients and contractors
Site experience and understanding of construction sequencing
