About the Role
We are looking for a Land Scout with strong local knowledge of Kwale County to support land acquisition for industrial development. This role is hands-on and outcome-driven: you’ll identify, evaluate, and present parcels that meet strict technical, zoning, and accessibility requirements. If you’re resourceful, detail-oriented, and skilled at navigating local land markets, this is a chance to directly influence a high-impact project.
Key Responsibilities
Scout parcels of land (minimum 3 acres) within Kwale County, ideally within 500m of MV lines (11/33 KV) and near LV lines.
Verify zoning (industrial or convertible) and ensure parcels are outside flood plains.
Assess accessibility and suitability for industrial use.
Prepare structured proposals including GPS coordinates, parcel size, ownership (or proxy), price, and access details.
Conduct extended due diligence and assist in seller negotiations for selected parcels.
Provide clear, actionable reporting to support acquisition decisions.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of Kwale County geography and land markets.
Prior experience in land scouting, real estate, or related field.
Ability to evaluate zoning, accessibility, and environmental factors.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
Access to transportation for site visits.
Compensation Structure
USD 50 per logistics and site visit.
USD 75 per viable proposal (up to 4).
USD 100 for extended due diligence and seller negotiation once a parcel is selected.
Target price range: KES 400,000 – 500,000 per acre.
Why Join
This is a unique opportunity to leverage your local expertise in a structured, professional acquisition process. You’ll work directly with decision-makers, gain exposure to industrial development projects, and be rewarded for delivering quality results with clear milestones.
If you can deliver these parcels, we'd like to hear from you.
