Quantity Surveyor – Finishing Trades (Painting, Plastering, Drylining)

Location: Derby + Hybrid Working
Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 + Package

The Opportunity

A well‑established subcontractor within a major UK construction group is looking for a Quantity Surveyor with experience in any finishing trade: painting, plastering, drylining, rendering, or similar.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing your own portfolio of projects from start to completion
  • Carrying out site measures and valuations
  • Producing accurate monthly accounts and reports
  • Monitoring project costs and progress
  • Working closely with clients, site teams and Contracts Managers
  • Preparing RAMS and supporting programme monitoring
  • Playing a key role in the successful commercial delivery of each job

You do not need painting experience, we welcome applicants from:

Full training in painting‑specific processes can be provided.
