Fire Alarm / Suppression Engineer

North West based | UK & European travel | Overtime available

An established specialist life safety contractor is looking to take on an experienced Fire Alarm / Fire Suppression Engineer. Due to continued workload, they are looking to appoint an engineer to the team.

This is a hands-on role offering strong earning potential through overtime and paid travel, with exposure to UK and European projects.

The Role

• Installation, commissioning, servicing and remedial works on fire alarm and fire suppression systems
• Predominantly site-based, with work across the North West as well as regular UK travel
• Occasional working away:
  • Typically 1 week per quarter (sometimes 2)
  • Overseas work mainly in Germany and the Netherlands
• All travel, accommodation, food and expenses covered when working away
• Paid overtime and enhanced rates when working away (UK and abroad)

Experience Required

• 3-5+ years’ experience in fire alarm and/or fire suppression systems
• Previous experience with addressable fire alarm systems
• Experience working on fire suppression systems is highly desirable
• Comfortable working independently on site
• Full UK driving licence

Package

• Basic salary circa £40,000
• Significant overtime available – realistic total earnings £50k–£70k+ depending on overtime and travel
