An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a growing and progressive Building Services consultancy. With a strong focus on sustainable design, the business actively integrates low-carbon solutions across all projects, identifying opportunities to reduce environmental impact while balancing technical and commercial constraints.

Their team of specialist consultants delivers a bespoke, client-focused service across the built environment, offering a wide range of expertise and working collaboratively to achieve high-quality outcomes. This role provides the chance to take a leading position in project delivery, shaping innovative design solutions while supporting the development of junior engineers within a dynamic and expanding team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design across a range of building services projects
• Develop concept and detailed designs (RIBA Stages 1–4)
• Produce and review technical specifications, drawings, and reports
• Manage project delivery, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
• Attend client and design team meetings, acting as a key point of contact
• Collaborate with mechanical, sustainability, and multidisciplinary teams
• Support and mentor junior engineers within the team
• Contribute to low-carbon and energy-efficient design strategies

Technical Experience

• Strong background in electrical building services design
• Experience using industry-standard software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech/Trimble, Dialux)
• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and relevant standards
• Experience across sectors such as commercial, residential, healthcare, or education

About You

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Proven experience in a building services consultancy environment
• Strong project management and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Working towards or achieved Chartered status (desirable)
