Graduate Acoustic Consultant
Location: Oxford
Starting Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 DOE
About the Company
Our client is an established acoustic consultancy with over 20 years of experience in environmental noise and vibration. They support projects across construction, transport, infrastructure, and environmental planning, offering a wide range of services including:
Noise and vibration assessments
Acoustic design and sound insulation advice
Environmental monitoring and modelling
Support with planning applications and compliance
The Role
This is an entry-level position ideal for graduates looking to begin a career in acoustics. You’ll be part of a small, collaborative team, gaining experience in both fieldwork and technical analysis. Responsibilities include:
Assisting with site-based noise and vibration measurements
Using modelling software to assess environmental impact
Supporting the preparation of technical reports
Working alongside experienced consultants on a range of client projects
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
Educated to degree level in Acoustics, Sound Engineering, Physics or a related field
Interested in applying technical knowledge to real-world environmental challenges
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Willing to travel for site work (a valid UK driving licence is required)
