The Company
We’re partnering with an early-stage, venture-backed AI company building the operating system and software infrastructure for psychotherapy practices, an industry that has seen very little automation to date. The engineering team is intentionally small—joining as the 3rd or 4th engineer—and this hire will work directly with the co-founders to shape both the product and engineering culture from the ground up.
The Role
This is much more than joining an established team. You’ll have significant ownership over the architecture, execution, and production operations of major product verticals end-to-end (including practice analytics, AI-powered insights, and EHR integrations).
You’ll be responsible for:
Owning entire product verticals end-to-end: roadmap, architecture, execution, and production operations
Building AI-powered analytics and tooling that empowers operators with actionable summaries and recommendations
Architecting and deploying full-stack features (Python/React) on AWS infrastructure with no dedicated DevOps support
Managing parallel Claude Code/Codex agent sessions to ship at dramatically higher velocity
Making key product and architecture decisions autonomously—identifying opportunities, forming opinions, and shipping without waiting for specs
Working directly with the CTO and co-founders on both immediate product needs and long-term technical strategy
What We’re Looking For
5-10+ years of full-stack engineering experience
A proven track record of zero-to-one ownership—building and shipping products end-to-end rather than just feature work within a larger team
Full-stack fluency across frontend and backend (Python, FastAPI, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, AWS)
Experience with sophisticated agentic AI workflows, deeply integrating Claude Code/Codex with parallel sessions and custom tooling
High agency and ownership mindset with comfort operating in an intense, early-stage environment
Strong technical background in system design, distributed infrastructure, and browser automation/EHR integrations is desirable
What’s in It for You?
Work directly with the CTO and co-founders as one of the most senior technical hires in the business
Shape major product verticals and engineering standards from the ground up rather than inherit established systems
Significant influence over product direction, technical architecture, and company culture
Join a very small engineering team where individual impact is highly visible
$200,000–$320,000 base salary
Meaningful early-stage equity
Full healthcare benefits
This is a full-time, five-day on-site role in New York City.
