The Role

This role is centred around new business development and offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales professional to build and grow a pipeline from the ground up.

You will be responsible for identifying and engaging new prospects, developing relationships with key decision-makers, and introducing tailored IT solutions that align with business goals. This is a consultative sales role where success comes from understanding customer challenges and delivering long-term value rather than transactional selling.

Working closely with internal technical and service delivery teams, you will help shape bespoke solutions for clients while contributing directly to the company’s continued growth in the Yorkshire region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through proactive outreach including phone, email, LinkedIn, and networking
  • Build, manage, and maintain a strong sales pipeline
  • Identify and engage with key decision-makers across multiple industries
  • Conduct consultative sales conversations to understand business needs and challenges
  • Work collaboratively with internal technical specialists to create tailored IT solutions
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales activity, and pipeline forecasting
  • Consistently work toward revenue targets and business growth objectives

About You

  • Previous experience in B2B sales, business development, account management, or lead generation
  • Confident with outbound prospecting and cold calling
  • Experience within IT, technology, telecoms, managed services, or professional services is highly desirable
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Target-driven with a proactive and resilient mindset
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and sales tools
  • Ambitious and motivated to progress within a growing business
