Part Time Sales Order Processor

We're working with a growing Manchester-based business that is looking for a Sales Order Processor / Customer Service Administrator to join their busy sales office.

This is a varied, hands-on role covering customer orders, invoicing, customer service and general sales administration. The position is available on a part-time/reduced-hours basis, with some flexibility around working hours, making it potentially well suited to someone looking to fit work around existing commitments.

The Role

Working closely with the sales and customer service team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Processing customer sales orders accurately and efficiently
  • Raising invoices for customer deliveries
  • Dealing with customer enquiries by phone and email
  • Liaising with suppliers and internal teams
  • Arranging courier and pallet collections
  • Updating customer records and internal systems
  • Supporting stock procurement and stock control
  • Providing general administrative support to the sales office
  • Helping to ensure customer orders are processed smoothly and efficiently

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and personable, with good attention to detail and a confident telephone manner.

You may have previously worked in Sales Order Processing, Sales Administration, Customer Service, Sales Support, Order Management or a similar role.

You'll Need:

  • Previous experience using Sage 50 or Sage 200
  • Experience in order processing, customer service, sales administration or a similar environment
  • Good communication skills and a professional telephone manner
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good IT skills, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and Microsoft Office
  • The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
  • A flexible and positive approach to work
