Senior Civil Engineer

Location: Bridgend, Cardiff or Newport (3 days per week in the office)
Salary: £42,000 – £47,000 per annum

The Role

An established and growing consultancy is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to support the delivery of projects for a well-established client base across South Wales. This role is suited to an experienced engineer who is confident leading small teams and taking technical responsibility for projects from concept through to delivery.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and mentoring junior engineers and technicians within the team. With a strong cohort of junior staff already in place, the focus of the role is on maximising team performance through effective communication, leadership, and sound technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage small project teams to deliver civil engineering projects efficiently and to a high technical standard
• Take technical ownership of projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client requirements
• Support, mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians, providing guidance and quality assurance
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
• Maintain strong client relationships and support repeat business with existing clients
