Structural Engineer

Our client, a growing and highly respected engineering consultancy, is looking to appoint an Intermediate Structural Engineer to join their expanding team. The Role

Reporting to senior engineers, you will play a key role in the delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to completion. You will work closely with clients, architects, and contractors while developing your technical and commercial expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing structural designs and supporting calculations for new build and refurbishment projects
• Carrying out site visits, inspections, and attending design team meetings
• Assessing structural defects and recommending remedial solutions
• Supporting delivery of UK residential drainage designs (desirable)
• Managing projects effectively to meet deadlines and client expectations
• Working closely with senior engineers as part of a collaborative team

About You

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• A relevant degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
• Minimum 2 years’ UK consultancy experience, ideally within residential projects
• Experience producing structural calculations and technical designs
• Strong problem-solving and project coordination skills
• Excellent communication and client-facing ability
• Desire to progress toward Chartership (ICE or IStructE)
• Full UK driving licence preferred
