A national, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join its Glasgow office. This is a key technical role offering responsibility for leading highway and infrastructure design packages on major projects across Scotland and the wider UK.
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will provide technical leadership on highways and infrastructure schemes, taking ownership of design delivery while supporting and mentoring junior engineers. You will work closely with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Leading the design and technical delivery of highways and civil infrastructure projects
Managing design packages from concept through to detailed design and construction
Preparing, checking, and approving designs, calculations, drawings, and technical reports
Acting as a key technical interface with clients, Transport Scotland, and local authorities
Providing mentoring, guidance, and technical review for junior engineers and technicians
Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
Strong experience in a Senior Civil Engineer role within a consultancy environment
Proven background in highway design and infrastructure projects
Proficient in design software such as Civil 3D, OpenRoads, MX, or AutoCAD
Chartered or close to Chartership (CEng MICE or equivalent)
Confident communicator with the ability to lead technical discussions and design reviews
